Safety Tips for Drivers and Bicyclists

Both drivers and bicyclists have an obligation to remain safe while on the road. They should both stop at stoplights and look before changing lanes to make sure that it is safe to do so. Furthermore, drivers and bicyclists should make sure that their focus is on the road as opposed to any other distractions.

Cars should remain at least three feet from bicyclists at all times if possible. While driving in the vicinity of someone on a bike, be sure to go at or below the posted speed limit. Ideally, you won't drive at speeds higher than a posted speed limit no matter where you go.
